Sheriff Woolfork Files Appeal Against Order of Protection

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — Just a few hours after a judge granted Deputy Sharon Sangster an order of protection against Sheriff David Woolfork, the sheriff has submitted an appeal. The sheriff’s Attorney Mark Donahoe filed the appeal in Madison County General Sessions. The order put in place by deputy Sharon Sangster was extended after a six-hour hearing involving 9 witnesses an graphic testimony concerning a relationship she had with Woolfork. The order of protection was put in place October 11 after police were called to Sangster’s home in West Jackson to investigate an alleged domestic violence incident between the deputy and Woolfork.
