DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A new judge has been appointed to preside over the Sheriff David Woolfork appeal. The State Supreme Court appointed Senior Judge Paul Summers, who is based out of Davidson county. Summers is one of four state senior judges who travel throughout Tennessee hearing cases. No court date has been set yet. It will likely be sometime next week. The Court Clerk hasn’t docketed it yet, but it will be in Jackson. Circuit Court Judge Donald H. Allen was originally appointed, but recused himself Monday.
