Jackson Police Make Arrest in Raid

JACKSON, Tenn. – The Jackson Police Department SWAT Team raided a home on North Royal Street, Tuesday morning, and arrested a man. Captain Julian Wiser said Metro Narcotics officers seized a felony amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and three firearms during the raid. Shawna Adams lives next door. She said children were inside the house when the suspect was arrested. “When I stuck my head out the door, I saw my neighbor,” Adams said. “She had her two month old granddaughter in her arms.” Captain Wiser says the suspect, who was not named, was arrested on drug charges. According to Adams the neighborhood is tight knit and they look out for each other. But now she’s concerned about her family’s safety. “I have a 15-year-old daughter and I don’t want her to get caught up in any kind of situations that’s going to put any of us in danger,” Adams said. Police say the case is still under investigation.
