Coming off byes issue for Titans past 3 seasons
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – The Tennessee Titans have short memories.
They say it’s a new season and they’re a different team, so three straight losses coming off a bye means nothing.
Now the Titans get to prove it.
It’s understandable why the Titans have blocked out memories of last year’s game after the bye week. They came out flat and became the first to lose in Jacksonville to the Jaguars, a 24-19 loss so ugly that coach Mike Munchak fired his offensive coordinator the next day.
Now the Titans (3-4) need to snap a three-game skid, and it won’t be easy in St. Louis against a coach who knows them well.
Cornerback Alterraun Verner says he didn’t even know the Titans had struggled coming off byes and they just need to start fast Sunday.
