Halloween Weather Update

Rain showers are starting to let up along the Mississippi River Valley including in cities from Union City to Memphis. Windy conditions will prevail with some gusts close to 40 mph during the afternoon with cloudy skies continuing for the Mid-South. If you’re looking for dry weather to go trick-or-treating in, a lull in the rainy weather will take place during the later hours of the afternoon across most of the area. However, we’ll expect to see a few more scattered storms form along the cold front that will arrive in the Mid-South around 7PM. Northwest Tennessee is likeliest to see most of that activity. A slight risk for severe weather remains for our region regarding this time period with heavy winds the main threat for the Mid-South. Stay tuned for more updates throughout the day including the very latest forecast from the VIPIR 7 Storm Team Weather Center on WBBJ!
