TIPTON, CO. Tenn. — WBBJ obtained a first-hand look at the weekend shooting involving Tipton County officers and an armed woman said to be suicidal. This eyewitness video shows Natella Blackwell holding a gun by her right side. She wouldn’t answer officers when they told her to put it down. Then she turns around and raises her arms.. That’s when deputies and officers opened fire and shot her. Blackwell was taken to the hospital where she later died. The officers involved have been placed on routine administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
