Regions Bank Gives Grants to West Tennessee Healthcare

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — The West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation got a total of $25,000 in grants on Tuesday, thanks to Regions Bank. To kick off Regions’ share the good week, the bank presented checks to the therapy and learning center Dispensary of Hope The Kirkland Cancer Center. Mayor Jerry Gist was among many guests at the conference. The Healthcare Foundation’s president says Regions donated money in the past, but this is the first year they’ve donated to specific groups. “We’re very grateful Regions Bank had enough trust that they invested $25,000,” Frank McMeen said, President West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation. The city of Jackson also asked for support for its newest project, Season of Unity. Officials with the city say for 93 days they plan to create a spirit of education and nonviolence in Jackson.
