Food 4 Flight Program Will Help You Fly for Under $15

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — How would you like a $14 flight out of Jackson? That’s the deal as part of the “Food 4 Flight” program by Seaport Airlines, benefiting RIFA. If you donate 4 canned foods at RIFA or the McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport you’ll get a $25 voucher for a flight with Seaport Airlines. With the voucher, you can fly from Jackson to Memphis, Nashville, or Athens, Georgia for as little as $14. Kids can also receive a voucher if they drop off food with an adult. Lindsay Dawkins, the communications coordinator at RIFA says this program will encourage people to donate just in time for the holidays. “You can get a really cheap flight and especially during the holiday season right now.. it’s a perfect time and it comes at a good time for us to receive food as well.” You can drop off food during normal office hours before November 15. The vouchers will be good from December 1st through February 28th.
