Jackson Man Charged With Rape of Another Man

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — Jackson police have charged Christopher Stanfill, 27, of Madison County with rape. Around 8 a.m. Wednesday, police were called to a 22-year-old man’s Jackson home. The man told officers that on Tuesday night he and Stanfill were out drinking. Afterward, they went to Stanfill’s home on Mifflin Road in Madison County. The 22-year-old man fell asleep and was awakened by Stanfill performing a sex act on him without the man’s consent. Stanfill came to the Jackson Police Department around 2:40 p.m. Wednesday for questioning. Further investigation revealed that Stanfill had committed this crime. Stanfill was transported to the Madison County Jail. He was arraigned this morning in Madison County General Sessions Court. Stanfill’s bond was set at $20,000. Stanfill continues to be held at the county jail in lieu of bond. Stanfill’s next scheduled court appearance is 1:30 p.m. Dec. 10 in General Sessions Court. This case was investigated by the Special Investigations Bureau with assistance from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
