Jackson Sees 11th Shooting in 10 Days

EAST JACKSON — Jackson saw its 11th shooting in the month of November on Wednesday night. The shooting happened just after 7:30 on Faris Street. Officers tell WBBJ that five people were inside, but no one was hurt, even though bullets were found inside the home. On Thursday morning we talked to one of the people who live at the house, who says the gunfire was linked to a fight earlier in the day. “He, he was, basically saying get back, I’m fixing to shoot through the door,” Walter Grady said. “So that’s when like, i moved everybody to the back, to the back of the house. And you know, shots, shots being fired a couple of them came through the house. I’m glad no body get hit though, you know.” No arrests have been made.
