JACKSON, Tenn.- A special group of Jackson city leaders met for a third time Monday to talk money and the mayor. The panel is tasked with reviewing the mayor’s salary and is recommending a 27 percent raise starting July 1, 2015. Right now, the mayor makes $101, 200. A 27 percent raise would bump his or her pay to $130,000 if the entire city council passes the raise in January. The raise is based on factors such as cost of living, period of time without raise and population.
