Last Minute Thanksgiving Shoppers Fight Crowds

NORTH JACKSON — West Tennessee residents are getting ready for their big Thanksgiving meal. The traditional feast is the one meal of the year that you usually know what to expect what you will be eating. West Tennessee residents were out in full force at grocery stores all across the area getting foods to prepare favorite traditional dishes. Turkeys were flying into baskets, along with all the trimmings to make that Thanksgiving meal. “There’s going to be crowds,” Carol Knowlton said, a last minute shopper. “There’s going to be jerks. There’s going to be everything but you’ve got to learn to just wait. That’s what we get for waiting til the last minute.” Food experts say the Thanksgiving dinner is a simple meal to prepare, but it takes some advance planning to pull it off.
