Gibson County Man Wanted By Police

HUMBOLDT, Tenn- A Gibson County man is wanted by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and Humboldt Police, after they said he shot and killed Titus Middlebrook, 20, on Sunday. Police said Albert Jones Smith Jr. of Humboldt is now added to the TBI’s Top 10 Most Wanted List, charged with Middlebrook’s murder. “I’ve known of him and seen him come and go for years,” Andy Harwood, Smith’s neighbor said. The suspect’s family has lived next door to Harwood for more than a decade. He said he’s known about Smith’s troubled past, but nothing this serious. “I don’t have any problems with them,” Harwood said. “I consider them good neighbors.” Police said Smith has a criminal history of violent and drug-related charges; and is a possible gang member.
