Northwest Tennessee Counties Prepare For Winter Weather

NORTHWEST, Tenn. — With the imminent threat of winter weather coming to West Tennessee, counties in northwest Tennessee, which are expected to bear the brunt of the storms, are preparing for the worst. In Henry County, Sheriff Monte Belew says every deputy is on call this weekend due to weather. Deputies are working with the emergency management director and have filled up cars. Have chainsaw crews ready to help with clearing roadways etc. In Obion County, Chief Deputy Kent Treece says they spent their morning in meetings with the emergency management director. The county is preparing for long periods of power outages. Deputies have filled up all patrol cars and generators. Right now they don’t have deputies on call, will change depending on weather situation. In Weakley County, deputies are working with the emergency management director, and “preparing for the worst hoping for the best.”
