Gibson County Residents in Icy Conditions

TRENTON, Tenn. — Gibson county residents say they were feeling the wrath of the ice cold weather. Kelvin Carter said his yard is covered in ice and he had problems getting home from work Friday afternoon; but when he finally made it home, his mailbox was frozen shut. For now, he said he will have to keep his house warm the best way he can and hopes he doesn’t lose electricity. Carter said this is his first time dealing with an ice storm. “I’m from Florida so I don’t know a whole lot about how to deal with ice other than drive slow,” Carter said.
