Sheriffs: Two Arrested After Striking Law Enforcement Vehicles

DYER COUNTY, Tenn. — Two people were arrested after a wreck on Highway 412 in Dyer County, Friday. Tennessee Highway Patrol and Dyer County sheriffs were working a wreck involving a semi and a pickup truck due to black ice when a car driven by Eric Brooks narrowly missed a state trooper. Officers say that Brooks then managed to hit a trooper’s car and a sheriff car. Brooks was found to have a bag of marijuana in his mouth and was arrested on the charges of driving under the influence, simple possession and driving on a revoked license. Brooks also had a passenger, Nykita Perry, who owned the vehicle. She was also charged with a DUI. Both were taken to the Dyer County Jail.
