Police Search For Suspect in Domestic Stabbing

TIPTON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Tipton County Sheriff‘s Office Criminal Investigation Division has filed charges this week in a 23 November 2013 domestic violence stabbing. Deputies responded to 1056 Wright Road in Brighton regarding a stabbing. Candace Borman, 30, reported that her uncle, Jimmy Hood, 54 had assaulted her during an argument. Jimmy Hood received multiple stab wounds and was transported from the scene by ambulance to Methodist North Hospital. During the course of the investigation, detectives determined multiple inconsistencies in the initial report Borman had filed at the scene. Borman was later interviewed and admitted to stabbing her uncle when he refused to allow Borman ride his ATV. Warrants have been filed in Tipton County General Sessions Court for the arrest of Candace Borman for Aggravated Domestic Assault. Detectives have confirmed that Borman is avoiding capture in the case.
