Elderly Woman Robbed in North Jackson

NORTH JACKSON — An elderly woman was robbed while sitting in her car outside a North Jackson business around 10:30 a.m. Thursday, according to Jackson Police. The victim told police a young, white woman with red hair came up to her vehicle, armed with what looked like a stun gun and demanded her wallet. After the victim denied having any money, the alleged robber reached inside of the woman’s purse and took off with her wallet, according to investigators. The suspect was seen leaving the scene in a small, black car. The robbery took place at Batteries Plus, located at 100 Vann Drive.
