NORTH JACKSON — There’s still a chance to help families in need this season through the Salvation Army Angel Tree. The deadline to donate to the program is Tuesday. Organizers say the angel tree will help about 360 children and 250 families. Although all the angels have been adopted the Jackson Salvation Army still needs additional toys and clothes for children. “Sometimes people will adopt an angel with good intentions and forget to bring back that angel and so we need some loose toys that we can matchup with that angel,” Major Jayne Brewster with the Jackson Salvation Army said. Those who want to donate can drop off toys and clothes at the Salvation Army office or at the Old Hickory Mall. All the gifts will handed out Friday.
