Sheriff Releases Names of Those Killed in Benton County Fire

SULPHUR CREEK — Benton County officials have released the names of the two lives claimed in a Dec. 7 fire. Sheriff Tony King identified Brandi and Shelton Hammond as the two who were found in the trailer. The fire happened in the remote area of Sulphur Creek. Officials say they got a call from the next door neighbor, who is also the landlord, around 7 a.m. Saturday. Tennessee state arson officials are helping with the investigation. The trailer was a total loss.
