JACKSON, Tenn.- Some of Jackson’s finest went head to head with students for a good cause, Tuesday. Local Jackson leaders laced up for the second year in a row against Jackson Careers and Technology Elementary School fifth graders to participate in a basketball tournament. Some of those who showcased their skills were Mayor Jerry Gist, Capt. Tyreece Miller of the Jackson Police Dept. and City Court Clerk Darrell Hubbard. “This is a way to give back to them and give them an opportunity to come and play this ball game tonight and remember education is very important,” said Jackson City Councilman Johnny Dodd. All of the proceeds from Tuesday night’s game go to Jackson Career and Technology School.
