PARIS, Tenn. — A Henry County man has been arrested after at least 50 child pornography pictures were found on his computer this week. Deputies say they were already investigating Gerald Clayton, 63, on a separate case, when they found the images. He is now facing a charge of sexual exploitation of a minor. “We found several images of child pornography of children under the age doing inappropriate acts,” Capt. Damon Lowe with Henry Co. Sheriff’s Dept. said. Neighbors say they always viewed Clayton as a nice person, but are worried that he lives down the street from a local park. “We understand he had it on his own computer but you never know where it will go from there,” Capt. Lowe said. Deputies say right now Clayton is out of jail on bond. Although he faces child pornography charges, he is still allowed to be in contact with children pending the outcome of his court hearing. The sheriff’s office says they have contacted the FBI to help with their investigation. “They are going to take a look at it as well and we may see about pursuing federal charges,” Capt. Lowe said. Clayton has been released on $30,000 bond, and deputies say he does not have a criminal record.
