Woman Tied up and Held at Gunpoint During Home Invasion

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — Deputies said a woman in east Madison County was tied up and held at gunpoint during a home invasion early Wednesday morning. Her husband, Robert Bailey, told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News the couple just married this past weekend. “She told them, ‘Don’t hurt me I haven’t been married but three days,” expressed Bailey. “She said, ‘take anything you want, but please don’t hurt me.” According to Bailey, his wife was asleep and heard the three men kicking in the couple’s back door, and left her room to check. “There was a black guy with a gun in his hand pointed at her,” said Bailey. “Then there was another one in the living room who came around the corner with a gun. They carried her into the bedroom, tied her up, and put her on the floor.” Investigators said the woman could not get a clear view of their faces, because they were wearing bandannas. She told deputies they were three black males, possibly teens, wearing all camouflage. “She’s shook up. I don’t know if she can sleep her tonight,” worried Bailey. Bailey’s wife believes the robbers were inside the home for around 45 minutes. They took several electronics, broke into a safe to steal guns, and even stole a Christmas present they had bought their grandson. “I can replace everything else, but I can’t replace her,” said Bailey, thankful his new wife was unharmed.
