Councilman Feeds Residents Holiday Meal

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A group of Jackson residents got together to celebrate the holidays a little early, Friday. Jackson City Councilman Johnny Dodd fed more than 100 residents at McMillian towers Friday afternoon. Most of the residents are on disability or have special needs. Participants got to enjoy a traditional holiday meal with everything including turkey, dressing and green beans. Dodd wants to give residents an opportunity to come together and celebrate the holidays. “Just like giving back to people, just spread the Christmas joy, just let people know that they are cared about,” councilman Johnny Dodd said. Dodd says this is an annual event.
