Child Near Highway Causes Accident that Injures Two

HARDEMAN, CO., Tenn. – The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a crash in Hardeman County that sent a family to the hospital and their dog to a local vet. According to officials, the driver of the car tried to avoid a 4-year-old child that was playing close to the white line of the road on Highway 18 late this afternoon. The driver ran into a ditch and flipped the car. The child was not injured. The family in the car, a man and a woman, were taken to a local hospital. Their condition is not known at this time.
