Man Arrested For Allegedly Setting Fire to Former Lover’s Home

MCNAIRY CO., Tenn. — A man was charged with arson and animal cruelty after investigators say that he admitted to setting fire to a former lover’s home. According to McNairy County investigators, Danny Doles admitted during an interview that he set a fire at Leah McGee’s home. Doles is charged with arson and two counts of animal cruelty for the death of two dogs in the fire on New Year’s Day. Doles is being held in the Hardeman County Jail. McGee, who lived in the burned out house, says two days before the fire, someone broke a window in her home. This prompted to to set up cameras, which caught the suspect around her house near the time the fire started.
