Corinth Officer Shoots Suspect

CORINTH, Tenn. — Thursday night, Corinth Police Department responded to a call of a man with a gun who forced his way in a house on Allen Street. At approximately 9:43 p.m., officers arrived on the scene to find that the suspect had fled. Officers then went to the suspect‘s residence to make the arrest. The suspect reportedly jerked open the door with a handgun pointed at the officer. At that point, the officer shot the suspect, and he was transported to Magnolia Regional Health Center via EMS. The officer involved will be on routine administrative leave during the investigation. MBI will continue all further investigation.
