Two Charged With Burglary After Investigators Recover Stolen Items

NORTHEAST JACKSON — Two people have been arrested and charged with burglary after a car spotted on the scene of the crime was found at the home of one the suspects. On Jan. 9, the Madison County Sheriff‘s Office received a call of a burglary at 20 Mack Drive. During the investigation, deputies learned that a green Mercury Mountaineer backed into the driveway at the 20 Mack address. Officers later found the Mountaineer matching the description of the vehicle at an apartment on North Highland Avenue. The vehicle was registered to Nneka S. Odom, age 24, who lived at the apartment. On Jan. 10, investigators entered the apartment and found several televisions and laptops that matched the description of items that had been reported stolen. Nneka S. Odom, age 24, Jackson, was charged with Aggravated Burglary. Also charged with Aggravated Burglary was Edris V. Bell, age 22, of Jackson. Additional charges may be filed by Jackson Police Department. Odom and Bell‘s arraignment has been scheduled for Jan. 14 at 8 a.m. in General Sessions Court, Division I. The investigation is continuing.
