Family Escapes House Fire in Alamo

ALAMO, Tenn.- Firefighters in Alamo said a fire on the stove of a house sparked a blaze around 12:45 p.m. Monday. Fire crews said a family of four was home at the time, but each was able to get out safely. “This is a peak time for fires in the home. We put a lot of stress in cold weather on electrical systems along with heating our homes so it’s important for all people from all areas to remember this and be extra cautious this time of year,” said Chief Timmy Williams of the Alamo Fire Dept. Chief Williams said this is one of 17 fires in Alamo so far this year.
