Fire Breaks Out At Jackson Business

EAST JACKSON — A local business caught fire Friday morning after a machine fire. Firefighters were called to Cupples J and J on F.E. Wright Drive which is a welding, sheet metal and machine shop, just after 10:35 a.m. Battalion Chief Mark Ferguson tells us the fire started after a malfunction with a machine. The fire was contained to that one piece of machinery. Employees were sent home while the building was ventilated.
