Man Accused of Coercing Witnesses in Homicide Case Arraigned

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — New details were released in the alleged threatening of witnesses connected to a January double homicide. Roddarous Bond,19, was formally charged Tuesday morning with attempted coercion of a witness. According to the court affidavit, a material witness received several phone calls from the Madison County Jail which alarmed and frightened him and his family. According to police, during a three-way intercepted phone conversation placed by Johnny Wade from the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex on February 4th wherein Johnny Wade speaks to an individual he refers to as Hot Rod. In the conversation, Wade asks Bond “did you do what I asked?” To which Bond responds by saying “they moved, they can’t be found.” Bond’s bond is set at $200,000.
