Local Manufacturing Facility Receives Award

WEST JACKSON — General Cable’s manufacturing facility in Jackson is one of the best plants in North America, according to Industry Week Magazine. The facility produces a complete line of genspeed brand data communication cables. Industry Week is the leading publication among senior manufacturing executives, and the local company says the recognition is an honor. “To accomplish something where you’re recognized as one of the top plants in all of north america in all industries, unbelievable accomplishment,” Greg Lampert, President and CEO of General Cable, said. The award is based on plant performance qualities, including employee involvement and productivity.
