Paris Man Arrested for Assault, Vandalism

PARIS, Tenn. — A man in Paris was charged after police say he grabbed and threatened another man with a shotgun, Thursday night. According to police, Austin Leach, 22, got into a shoving and shouting match with his mother’s boyfriend, which ended with Leach aiming a 12-gauge shotgun at the man. Leach allegedly then threatened to shoot the man. While a family member told Leach to lower the gun, the victim got away and police were called to the house. Leach was charged with aggravated assault and vandalism. He bonded out of a $10,000 bond on Friday. Leach will appear in Henry County General Sessions Court on Tuesday.
