JACKSON, Tenn.-One organization is looking at race relations then and now. This weekend the Tennessee Chapter of the NAACP is hosting their summit on race relations. The event was held Friday night at Lane College, where a panel of eight African American youth and adults talked about their experiences with race in their lifetime. “We focus on issues that we feel like are still critical as we look at race and color in America,” said Gloria J. Sweet-Love, president of the Tennessee NAACP. The group will be hosting their second event of the weekend starting at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Doubletree Hotel in Jackson.
