JACKSON — If you have a child that is old enough for kindergarten in the fall, there is some information that school officials want you to know. You and your children will have to have certain information before you can complete the enrollment process for Jackson-Madison County Schools. In addition to being the proper age, you have to have certain shots and vaccination s before you can enroll. “The parent needs to make sure that they bring the child’s birth certificate, the child’s social security card, their immunization and kindergarten physical and three proofs of residence in the parent’s name showing that they live in Jackson and or Madison County,” Kimberly Butler, Administrator for School Registration at JMCSS said. Acceptable proofs of residency are mortgage payments, bank statements and utility bills. Also, all children registering for kindergarten must be age 5 by Aug. 15, 2014.
