Friends of Bobo Family: “We Have a Renewed Sense of Hope”

HOLLADAY, Tenn. — Saturday a new area of Decatur county was searched as Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agents look for clues in the disappearance of Holly Bobo. Friends say they now have a renewed sense of hope. Kayla Cooper and Hayley Horner say for the last three years they’ve been consumed with Holly Bobo’s disappearance. “All you can do is pray, you know that God’s in control of the situation and that all things work together for our good,” Cooper said. The women, both friends of the Bobo family, are anxious as they wait for news from the TBI. Agents searched the Adams Lane home on Friday in connection with Holly Bobo’s disappearance. The owner, Zach Adams, was taken into custody on aggravated assault Friday. He has been transferred from the Decatur County jail to the Chester County jail due to overcrowding, according to Sheriff Roy Wyatt. The family also tells WBBJ Saturday that they do not believe Holly had any relationship or connection to Zach Adams or any of the places being searched. “Never would I have though that 3 years later that we’d still be in this nightmare, and it is well past time for it to be over with,” Cooper said. The Adams’ property was completely blocked off Saturday but Highway 641 remained open. A helicopter touched down on the property and a number of investigators were on the scene, but TBI did not confirm or release any new information. “You haven’t heard anything for quite some time now, and now, all of a sudden, law enforcement is here searching this area, have warrants out, that’s big,” Horner said. Magan McGee, who lives in the Parsons area, says the situation is frightening but she hopes for the best. “It really scares me to know that someone around here could’ve done something like that to her,” McGee said.
