Phone Scam Targeting Former Jury Members in Madison Co.

MADISON CO. Tenn.,- The Madison Co. Sheriff’s Dept. is warning of a new phone scam they say targets former jury members in Madison Co. Investigators say they have had several reports Saturday of residents being called by someone claiming to be a employee with the sheriff’s dept. According to deputies, the caller is asking the former jurors to get an E-voucher from Kroger and give them the code, to avoid being arrested for failure to appear. Deputies say this is not the Madison Co. Sheriff’s Department calling, and anyone who receives one of these calls should report it to the sheriff’s office at 731-423-6000.
