Former Madison County Sheriff to Face a Judge

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — Former Madison County Sheriff David Woolfork will be back in front of a judge Tuesday morning, after Monday’s inclement weather pushed the hearing back. Woolfork is scheduled to be back in court on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Judge Allen’s courtroom. Woolfork was indicted in December on counts of attempted aggravated sexual battery and domestic abuse against his former mistress, Deputy Sharon Sangster. Last Friday, Sangster’s attorney filed papers to drop the order of protection against Woolfork that was granted in October following an alleged fight between the two.
