JACKSON, Tenn.- Crews began making repairs Thursday to Jackson Meadow retirement home after Tuesday’s fire. Firefighters believed an electrical issue caused the fire. But it is sprinklers that are believed to have done the most damage. Though residents cannot return for good they were allowed back today to pick up anything they needed. The cooks at Jackson Meadow are still working and delivering meals to residents now living at a nearby hotel. “The residents, they weren’t too thrilled about an overnight vacation but other than that everybody’s good, so I think we’re handling it pretty good and everybody’s comfortable over there,” said Jarvis Holmes, a cook at Jackson Meadow. No word yet on how long the repairs will take and when residents will be allowed back for good.
