JACKSON Tenn. — An elderly man was taken to the hospital after he was pinned against his house by his own car in East Jackson, Friday afternoon. Neighbors tell WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News Bobby Teague was working on his car when it started to roll forward. Eyewitnesses say he ran in front of it to stop the car when it pinned him to his house. Teague’s wife, Donna ,says the couple’s screams for help brought neighbors to action. “I heard her screaming, and I had to come see what was wrong,” a neighbor on the scene said. Family said Teague was trapped for nearly 20 minutes until fire officials and neighbors could rescue him. “They helped. Everybody helped. We pulled the car back off him,” Wilbert Brown said. Police said Teauge did not have life threatening injures, but was taken to a local hospital as a precaution. “Really terrifying He’s already a crippled person, so, we just really hope he is ok,” Donna Teague expressed. Teagues house and car had minor damage. Family says they are thankful for the neighborhoods quick response.
