Organizers Prepare for West TN “Heart Walk”
JACKSON, Tenn.- Local businesses are gearing up for this year’s annual West Tennessee “Heart Walk.” The American Heart Association hosted a breakfast Thursday morning at the Jackson Country Club. Representatives from local businesses came to hear about this year’s walk and sign up to participate. Organizers hope starting early will help motivate locals to get involved. “If we start now that gives the community ample time to get involved to come out to support,” said Christy Futrell, regional director of the American Heart Association. The 2014 “Heart Walk” is scheduled for Saturday, September 27. Participants will walk a three mile route.
