CHESTER CO., Tenn. — Officials confirm a hostage situation in Chester County has been resolved. Deputies said a man is under arrest after firing his gun and taking a woman hostage. Investigators said it happened around 4 p.m. on Lofton Lane. They said the suspect went to his girlfriend’s home, fired his gun, and then told another female and juvenile to leave the property. Deputies said he held her inside the house until they arrived and asked him to surrender. That’s when they said he came out of the house and was taken into custody.
