JACKSON, Tenn. — A spokesperson with Jackson-Madison County Schools says that the driver involved in last Friday’s bus wreck has not returned to work, as of Monday morning. School spokesperson Ginger Carver said it is unclear when the driver, identified as Michelle Hamilton, would be returning. Carver also said it is unsure if Hamilton would be facing any type of discipline from the school system. Last Friday’s wreck sent five students to the hospital, including the driver. It happened at the intersection of East Chester and Avalon Drive around 6:20 a.m. on Bus 176 en route to Rose Hill Middle School. The crash is still under investigation.
