WEST JACKSON — AAA expects 2014 to be a strong year for travel. 82 percent of Tennessee, Florida and Georgia residents plan to take at least one trip this year. Local experts say the travel spike may be due to the economy. “Folks are ready to start traveling,” Anita Brattershell, Travel Agent said. “I think they have been cutting back due to the economy. The last couple of years and we are seeing a lot of family vacations. AAA recommends consumers speak with a travel consultant to get the best deals on vacations and travel options. They say travel experts know the ins and outs of the industry and can provide travel tips.
