Woods Retrial Underway in McNairy County

MCNAIRY COUNTY, Tenn.- Day one is now in the books in the retrial for former Bolivar councilwoman Brenda Woods. She was convicted in 2009 of voter fraud but won on appeal last year. Woods told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News us it took most of the day before the jury was set. The trial is being held in McNairy County. Tuesday, the state is set to call one more witness then Woods’ defense will begin its case. Woods said her attorney is scheduled to call 10 witnesses, but testimony could wrap up Tuesday.
