Man Arrested for Breaking into a Church

TIPTONVILLE, Tenn. — A man from Lake County is in jail for allegedly breaking into a church and causing damage to take a nap. Deputies said 20-year-old Dale Gauldin was arrested Saturday afternoon for allegedly breaking into a parish at First Baptist Church in Tiptonville. He’s charged with aggravated criminal trespassing and vandalism for breaking the door to get in. Officials said Gauldin had been there a few days and they are not sure if he was homeless. His first court appearance is Monday.
