Update on Brownsville Warehouse Fire

BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. — Crews were already out cleaning up the remains from Tuesday’s fire at the MTD plant in Brownsville. The fire that broke out at the plant still brought firefighters back in the night to deal with hotspots that were still a risk. It still hasn’t been determined if or how long it will be until MTD employees will go back to work, and if they will remain open. Previous employees say the fire could have been worse. “Approximately 5 years ago, there would have been 150 to 200 people at that time of day in this building,” Nancy Dean, a former MTD employee said. The cause of the fire still hasn’t been determined. No injuries were reported in the fire.
