Woman Accused of Causing Black Eye to Infant Appears in Court

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — The Jackson woman accused of causing an infant to get a black eye and fractured skull appeared in court, Wednesday. Jocilyn Taylor, 22, faces reckless aggravated assault and simple assault charges. The alleged attack happened in December at Royal Arms apartments. Police say Taylor hit the baby’s mother as she held the child, which caused her to drop the infant. The judge bound Taylor’s case over to the grand jury.
