Woman Sentenced on Identity Theft Conviction

HUNTINGDON, Tenn. — One of the two women convicted for a September 2013 wallet theft was sentenced for her crime on Thursday. Crystal Lashley was sentenced on the charges of theft of property and identity theft after police say she and another woman grabbed a wallet that had fallen on the ground and spent more than $100 at a local gas station. Both Lashley and the woman she was with, identified as Laura McDaniel, were caught on camera doing this. Lashley was sentenced to 11 months 29 days with 90 days to serve in custody. She is the one who used the card. McDaniel was previously sentenced to 11 months 29 days on supervised probation, and already served her 5 days in jail.
