More Funds Allocated to Jackson Amphitheater at the Market

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — More funds have been allocated for the new music venue being constructed in downtown. The Jackson City Council approved more funding for Jackson‘s Amphitheater at the Market (AMP) on Monday morning. The funding will go toward air conditioning in the office space, sod, bathrooms and changing rooms. Located behind the West Tennessee Farmers‘ Market and within walking distance of the Jackson Walk, the AMP kicks off the 2014 Season on May 2. Eleven free performances are planned for the inaugural season.
